Gorakhpur Industrial Development Authority was incorporated by the Uttar Pradesh Government on 30th November 1989 under Uttar Pradesh Industrial Development Act 1976 for the complete and planned development of Eastern Uttar Pradesh. GIDA under its development plan has a total area of 13,135 acres. Currently, the development plan has been subdivided into 32 sectors.
